Questions Before We Begin
Starting therapy can bring up a lot of questions, especially if you’re used to figuring things out on your own. Here are a few basics about working together, fees, online sessions, and what to expect.
-
I’m based in Tulsa, Oklahoma and provide secure online therapy for women in Oklahoma and Texas.
That means you can meet from your home, your office, or another private space where you feel comfortable. No drive time. No waiting room. No adding one more thing to an already full day.
-
Online therapy is still real therapy. We’re just meeting through a secure video platform instead of sitting in the same room.
Before your session, you’ll receive a link to join from your phone, tablet, or computer. You’ll need a private space, a reliable internet connection, and ideally a few minutes to breathe before jumping into the session.
For many of the women I work with, online therapy makes it easier to get support without rearranging their whole life to make it happen.
-
At this time, I offer therapy through secure online sessions only.
I know online therapy may feel different at first, especially if you’re used to picturing therapy as sitting in an office. But the support is still real. You still get honest conversation, practical support, and a space where you do not have to hold everything together.
-
My fee for the intake and treatment planning session is $250.
Standard therapy sessions are $200 for a therapy hour, which is 53 minutes.
I’ll always be clear about fees before we begin, so there are no surprises. Therapy should not feel like one more thing you have to decode or manage perfectly.
I also accept a select list of insurance plans, and if I’m not in-network with your plan, you may have out-of-network benefits through Thrizer. We can talk through payment options during your free consultation.
-
Yes, I accept a select list of insurance plans.
I accept:
Aetna, Oklahoma & Texas
Ascension / SmartHealth, Oklahoma
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma
Cigna, Oklahoma & Texas
Carelon Behavioral Health, Oklahoma & Texas
UnitedHealthcare
Because insurance coverage can vary, I recommend confirming your benefits directly with your insurance company before starting therapy.
-
If I am not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still be able to use out-of-network benefits through Thrizer.
Thrizer helps check your benefits and may reduce the upfront cost of therapy, often saving clients up to 70%, depending on the plan.
Out-of-network reimbursement is not guaranteed, so it is always best to confirm your benefits before starting. But if you have out-of-network benefits, Thrizer can make the process feel a lot less overwhelming.
-
Your first appointment is a chance for us to start getting to know each other.
We’ll talk about what has been feeling heavy, what brought you to therapy, and what you’d like support with. You do not have to come in with the perfect words or a neatly organized story.
We can start with, “I don’t even know where to begin,” and go from there.
This is not another place where you have to perform or pretend everything is fine.
-
It depends on what you’re carrying and what you want support with.
Some women come to therapy for a specific season or stressor. Others want longer-term support as they work through anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, people-pleasing, motherhood stress, or deeper self-worth patterns.
We’ll check in as we go. Therapy is not meant to become one more thing you manage forever. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, supported, and like you can move through your life without everything feeling like it depends on you.
-
A Good Faith Estimate is a written estimate of what therapy may cost if you are not using insurance.
It does not lock you into a certain number of sessions. It simply gives you a clearer idea of expected costs so you can make an informed decision before starting.
My goal is to be upfront and clear about fees from the beginning.
